Grades 1-6

In grades 1-5 at Hamlin Collegiate Elementary, we use the Eureka Math TEKS Edition to build a solid mathematical foundation for our students, focusing on deep conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. For 6th grade, we transition to Carnegie Learning, a curriculum designed to further strengthen mathematical reasoning and prepare students for advanced coursework. Both programs are aligned with Texas state standards and are designed to equip students with the tools they need for long-term success in math.

The Amplify curriculum, utilized for reading and social studies, offers an engaging and interactive approach to literacy and social learning. This innovative program combines rich, diverse texts with meaningful discussions and projects, encouraging students to think critically and connect their learning to the world around them. By fostering a love for reading and a deeper understanding of social studies concepts, Amplify supports our goal of developing informed, empathetic, and engaged citizens.

We implement the McGraw Hill Science curriculum for grades 1-6, which provides a dynamic and engaging approach to scientific learning. This comprehensive program encourages students to explore, investigate, and understand the world around them through hands-on experiments and real-world applications. With a focus on critical thinking and inquiry-based learning, our curriculum not only aligns with state standards but also fosters a lifelong curiosity and passion for science in every student.
